I'm having a rough time covering this 3D printed Green color with the airbrush. Any suggestions, maybe some kind of primer and if so which kind of Vallejo primer? The dark color on the Left is suppose to be Blue, and of course the Right is suppose to be Red. I know they will be darker then the color in the bottle, but this much? Silver seems to work fine so far.

Suggestions from the airbrush experts? I am still learning, and getting better each time with the actual use of it.

Of course the Green one is the 3D printed color.

Did you apply a primer coat before your color coat?

The picture, taken on a mostly white background, may be causing the camera to underexpose the picture for the painted loads. Try putting them on a darker background for a picture.

No I did not apply primer. ON a darker background, and Blue one on Left is not completely painted as you can see some Green :) I'll finish the Blue with a few coats, and then try a new one with primer, before painting.

Wow, sorry about the dust on the layout :)

Hello. Does anyone have any experience using a cordless airbrush for weathering? I found a review that suggests they may work alright for modeling. I'm mostly planning to use it to weather rolling stock for now.

The Cool Runner II is a very nice compressor. I just got one with the tank and I love it. Sucker is quiet and has great regulation on wherever one sets the desired pressure. I use it with a Badger 150, 155, and 175. I had a big Bostich oil-less compressor with a 2.5 gallon tank. At lower pressures it was a bear to keep constant. It failed a couple of weeks ago and no parts available due to age, so I got the Cool Runner.

I did not even know there was such-a-thing as a cordless airbrush. I could see for some tasks were that could come in handy. I'll have to dig into this in some detail.

So, I got this airbrush a few weeks back and it's finally good enough weather for some painting.

For TruColor paints, I know acetone to thin and regular paint thinner to clean the airbrush. What's the scoop on using the Vallejo Model Color acrylics?

    Thanks for any tips :)
