I have a funny 'pulsing' when I paint... I have no idea why or what it's coming from, since I use a 2 gal air compressor, with an external regulator attached to the built-in reg, and a moisture trap, with a long 10' braided hose. I shouldn't have pressure spikes, but it seems to pulse, if that's the only way I can describe it. The airbrush is a double-action Badger model 150, with siphon tube into a paint bottle I have no adverse affects that I know of, when it pulses, but it's really annoying to me, because it's odd, and abnormal. Any ideas?
What's the frequency of the pulse? If it's the same as the frequency of the compressor stroke, then I'm going to guess the regulators aren't working right.
Sounds like the air bleed hole in your siphon cup may be plugged or you paint mix is alittle thick. If the air bleed is clean try a touch more air pressure,or thin the paint some. My best guess.
Maybe the air bleed hole in the siphon cup lid is plugged, in fact, I know it is.... I know that the paint is not at fault (it's fresh), I'm using the Badger Modelflex paint straight outta the jar, as suggested by the manufacturer. I gave it a good clean today after shooting, but found the air hole bloced. I cleaned that out, so the issue may be gone now.
