    A friend and I lived in Alabama for a number of years and were talking about the AT&N, a 214 Mile line purchased by the Frisco in 1948. With it, the Frisco gained access to the Port of Mobile. The AT&N was an interesting road and he sent me a fine website link that I thought others might also enjoy.

    What happened to the "Tennessee & Northern" part of the line?
    Did they run out of money and/or ambition after reaching Reform?

    In view that the SLSF never reached San Francisco, perhaps they felt an affinity for the AT&N? :)
