Hey Alan, I seen a few things on a link here in the board that shows your spine cars! I'm impressed! If i'm not mistaken, these are HO scale???? Cause I hope to god they are! I want to know what they will retail for and all...Also if possible, I'd like to get a set of 5 undecorated to make CSX. I have seen them 5 minutes ago for the first time, compared them to what I've seen by Walthers, and other places and they stomp the compition inb the ground... I like 'em, I like 'em! I am pleased you think they look good against the Walthers HO ones, as mine are in N Scale But I am planning on doing some kits in HO scale next year.
Alan, I seen them on another post in TB and all but I can't seem to remember where or how! Anyway on the link, and in the site it was yours, and all in in your "HO scale section" it showed a picture of the spine car. intermediate or end which ever! It doesn't matter which car, but they look realistic and very well proportioned! I would greatly suggest them to anyone from the looks that I seen of them! Even though i'm an old coal burner I do have a fairly large amount of diesels! One of which is the only newer diesel 4th generation. All the rest are older 1st and 2nd generation! On the new loco, its a CSX C44-9W #9003. I want to buy a few more of them to make a decent looking CSX consist of loco's and then collect or build some present day cars to go with the loco's. This new step in modeling for me is the welcome love in my life right now, I have her to thank for the addtion from the old and into the new! I have not produced anything in HO scale yet, so you may be thinking of my son Matt (Stickymonk). I am taking over the HO spine cars from him, sometime next year.
Alan, Let me know when you do.... I wouldn't mind carrying a stock of them for you to sell. and also to have a few of my own to go with my Athearn C44-9W in CSX. On another thought, I see the quallity of your HO and I've seen the N scale you've done and all, being so, I'd also carry some N scale as well. If its not a problem for you, may I ask a personal favor on the HO spine cars? If this is a good enough thought for you. I would like to carry or get these cars undecorated so I can do some custom panting of my own and for my own collection and all. If this might be remotely possible, this is how I'd like to buy some when you have made a complete order. Reason for this thought of mine is. I know and seen your work and its outstanding. But also I get alot of factory undecors that buyers want custom painted. I can offer to sell them your work and painting, and if they want something custom I can also offer that as well. As for myself, I would prefer them undecor, being I like to custom paint my own. Is their a way that you could give me a ball park figure on a set of the spine cars in HO undecor?
