Rails,I posted a question a while back asking if anyone knows how to get the cab shell off the Proto AlCO S1...titled "ALCO Mystery Theater"....Well,someone finally does..Me!..As I got no responces I couldn't stand it any more..So, last night I tried again...The old 'What goes up must'.....and figured it out...I now have only one engineer(never liked seeing two in a small, funky, switcher). And I used the fireman(from left side)as his overall-straps look good, now that he's now facing across cab, with back toward his window..This to me is more natural a pose than the two it comes with, sitting perfectly straight forward..Also,you can see the control panel now..I won't explain cab removal here as is too involved...As soon as anyone asks how to ,in the forum, then I'll walk you through it...But what a diff this simple change makes in the believability of loco now...BTW..I usually run cab-forward.So it's as if his left eye is catching the track ahead, peripherally, while right hand is on controls... I had one of their S-2 models. But that was about 20 years ago. So could not recall how it was done. Can you post a picture of your newly posed engineer, etc? Boxcab E50
BXE50,sorry,I've no photo eguipment...A 20 year old S2 would likely be WAY different... But I'll post explaination here if you or anyone else still wishes.....Gosh,does Life-Like Proto series go that far back!?? Mark
