This picture here is an actual Rutland RR picture from Bartonsville, VT in the 1950's. The covered bridge still stands, but has been renovated. VTR still operates this line. This is our model scene (again HO), no adjustments made, just scanned in. Lots more at our website, I could put these up forever. Check it out. ------------------ Corey Lynch VP - Rensselaer Model RR Society NEB&W RR http://www.rpi.edu/~lynchc/Railfanning/railfanning.htm - My Site http://www.union.rpi.edu/railroad/ - NEB&W
I'm very familiar with the Rutland PR shot and boy did you guys copy the real scene in detail. So good I just had to compare each shot to see if I could find any differences. Only thing I noticed (and boy did I have to really look and get picky) was the telephone pole on the left side of the shots are not in the EXACT same relationship to the bridge. Pole on layout is too far to the right but not by much. I've never seen such a good match to a real world scene as this. You guys are REALLY, REALLY good. Randy
I echo Randy's comments entirely But I also noted a few more leaves on one of the trees ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.ac-models.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
That is a GREAT picture Corey. Hope to see more like it! ------------------ Craig Martyn Best Looking Models Around Custom detailing AND N scale detail parts. BLMA N Scale Detail Parts
"What's that?" "A train Horn?" "Sorry, gotta GO!" There is three things more important than the Railway Hobby. They are...no, wait...there's two and they are...oops! No, there's one...it's...no, I'm wrong again. THERE ISN'T ANYTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE RAILWAY HOBBY! Buy the way...GALESBURG, IL. RULES! ------------------ BNSF RAILFAN-TO-THE-MAX! Yes it does! I went there during RR Days for the first time this summer. It does rule. Nothing but TRAINS TRAINS TRAINS! I'll be back every year! ------------------ What's that? A train horn? Sorry, gotta go!
That is really fine modeling work. I hope I get to be that good when I grow up! Even the trees are the same time of year. I'm sitting here waving at the engineer in the green engine, but I don't think he sees me. I know he would wave back if he saw me. ------------------ Watash
