I'm just curious if there were other themes available for the new TrainBoard vBulletin forums. I don't mind the default blue & white colors, it's just that the other bulletin board I belong to, nScale.net, uses the exact same software and looks exactly the same now. I just wanted to change the colors so I can easily see which board I'm on.
Charlie still has lots of tweaks / customizations to bring, this is still mostly the "Out of the Box" look that all sites start out with. Stay tune for changes...
Yes. As noted in an earlier topic here in Support. We've done this a few times previously over the years- First you get the basic scheme in place, as seen now. Then you take a bit of time and probe as many corners as possible, to be certain all is working and old data has properly transferred. Thereafter you start the various layers of add-ons. We are basically at step one right now and more is yet to come. We will not just look like 'out-of-the-box.' We have not for many years. Boxcab E50
Maybe we need a theme with a 144 pt font so you can post on the front page THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY PEOPLE, CALM THE HECK DOWN!!! The old trainboard theme was very custom and vBulletin changed a lot of the underlying code, so it will take a while to get it looking the way it was. Which is probably a big portion of why the move took so long.
Change is good, change is good, change is good.... It will sink in if I just keep telling myself! cool:
Now, I certainly wasn't complaining about the update, I was simply asking if vBulletin came with other themes already built-in, and if so where I might be able to change it myself.
My User Profile should contain the same tools as for any other members here. I have not seen or do not recall any settings for changing individual desktop colors or themes, in this other previous versions of vB. As we have repeatedly noted in several topics- This is only the beginning. Once we are certain everything is safely moved from the older version and working as we wish to start, additional things are coming which will alter appearances and things to do here. Boxcab E50
vBulletin does support multiple themes and the ability to allow the user to select them, but they aren't "out of the box." Someone has to load them in, possibly even design them from scratch. All of which takes time.
