Please enjoy my twisted Thomas tale where a mad bomber is trying to stop the railway, This video is ERTL models on HO tracks.. Here is a video which is something special, it's a complete home made Thomas Tank story with a mad bomber twist. It has gained youtube honours in its first week, there is also a making of video about this amazing production. Cute video. I'm always amazed by people who can produce this kind of stuff. While I haven't seen a lot of the 'real' Thomas, this video sure has a similar look. You've captured it well. Welcome to the forum. You've started off with a "bang". :teeth: Regards Ed
Mad Bomber train video Just hoping I have found some train fans who enjoy a video which is something completly different. It's a Thomas Tank story, with a mad bomber twist, the video displays the use of ERTL models on HO guage rail. The attention to detail is as true to the real Thomas Tank TV shows. Any train buff will enjoy this story and it can be found on Youtube search Rolling Stock It is described as a Twisted Thomas story. It is certainly fine for children to enjoy, it has no bad language but stunning special effects.
Thanks for the welcome, I was not sure if you allowed linked videos to be on your forums, and I did notice you have a very good code of conduct policy.. This video has connected me with many train buffs via youtube, and they suggested to hop onto some forums, so I am here to entertain. I will keep on base to answer all questions. Cheers, Leo.
Leo, welcome to the Train Board. We're glad to have you aboard. I'm having a problem viewing your "Mad Bomber" video. The posted link connects to the YouTube page, and the video apparently loads. However, the video played only 2-3 seconds, not the 9:29 minutes shown on the status line. Now, after a refresh, it won't even start. Do you have a suggestion as to what I may be doing wrong? Thanks.
No suggestion but I suspect the problem is at your end (computer or ISP). I just clicked on the link again and it played fine. I'll refrain from suggesting my usual tactic for surmounting computer problems, rebooting the machine. Hoping you get your problem resolved, Ed
Thanks Ed, it must have been my end because it ran fine tonight. Apparently the ISP stopped fiddling with the system and let it run as designed..... Leo, that is well done, extremely imaginative and excellent modeling. Thanks!
At 76 I'm a bit old for Thomas the Tank engine, but The series and your film are very enjoyable as well as well done! Maybe I haven't grown up yet?
I can't suggest anything, its not my field of experience....Maybe it is your ISP, I have had no one else contact me on this. Try watching another video on youtube site... The forums here are great, I will try to be around to keep answering questions raised. Leo.
Great to hear, well the audience who it was created for was in your age group, and many of the character voices were people in their 60' and 70'. It was the train lovers on youtube who suggested I move to some forums so others could view the video, its a big thing to have someones attention for 9 mins watching a crazy story. Leo.
Yes I am a Aussie, the video generated so many questions from train followers on youtube I quickly made a 'making of' video to answer some questiuons, luckily I had shot plenty of detailed behind the scenes footage... Rolling Stock making of - 1 is here.. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vhxoN3g1Kc"]YouTube - Rolling Stock making of - 1[/ame] I hope this does not shatter the illusion by showing as a $2 production. Thanks for viewing.. Leo.
Pretty Fireworks. I trust no Thomas was harmed in the making of this movie? I also liked how in the making of you commented on how low the model was and that waist height was, perhaps, not the best height. (A recurring thread on any forum is "what's the best height", to which the reply is "depends...") Keep up the good work!
Thanks trainboards, The video waited for 7 years without a audience, I placed it on youtube just over a week ago and it has struck a nerve with many model train people. The video was picked up by some Thomas tank fans on youtube, some suggested to me to place the video on some train forums. Like I keep explaining I am not really into model trains, I was when I was young like any boy (or girl). I was using the Thomas characters as a way to tell a story, which was about my friends at a video club, hence the video camera story.. sort of sounds a bit crazy, well maybe it is. Again thanks , some very nice people here and I will be here to always lend a film making hand, I know lots of you do videos of your layouts, my main tips are.. Keep a the camera low, as if you were looking at your model from a realistic point of view, thats vital. If you can take your video into a computer, and apply a little slow motion, not too much, it will take the shakey, jerky look some models can get when doing the rounds on the layout....it will look like it has weight.. Cheers..Leo.
