I'll be there - giving a clinic, no less. looking forward to it. For those in the Auckland area (or visiting) next weekend don't forget the Glenbrook steam festival. It's shaping up to be a big event; double-headed Ja and Ww class trains, traction engines, a steam calliope built 1897, classic vehicles, steam boats etc. They were hard at work setting up when I drove past this morning.

Had to check to see whether it was The Queen's Official Birthday or her actual one... Sounds like fun! Unfortunately, it's a bit too long of a trip for a weekend getaway...
so....come for more than a weekend! Queen's birthday - just an excuse for another day off. In the local context the queen is largely irrelevant, her birthday doubly so.
