That last unit looks intresting.... what was it? kind looks like a High nose GE but that could be my monitor playing tricks on me again

I'll have to get out the original string of photographs to see. Thanks Dave, The picture was taken at "Glenwood Yard" in Raleigh. I grew up only a couple of blocks away. It belonged to the "original" Norfolk Southern (the one that was absorbed into the Southern Railway). It has a "modern" brick yard tower and the fueling racks that you see, plus a small car shop. It had an engine shed (and inspection pit)that was dismantled years ago Harold
