Hi, All It was great to hear from Ben at Animek. Anyone not familiar with him and his work is in for a treat. They are much like wood puzzles, only very, very tiny. Here is an example of his ladder truck. There are a lot of tiny, tiny parts and amazingly they fit together perfectly. Mine is waiting for more decaling; the Achilles heel of z-scale. The fire house is a Twin Whistle kit. It is based on one in West Roxbury, MA. I have modified it with chimneys and side entry door from various Kibri kits. Next door is another Twin Whistle police station. I am making a restaurant from it. It has two Woodland Scenics n-scale light . The skylight is also n-scale from ModelTech Studios. Both kits have been sitting in limbo from this point.
Nice touch with the yellow end tip on the ladder, I like it. This kit took me almost 9 years to develop, before I was happy with the end result.
Thanks, Ben The finishing touch would be signage along the ladder rails saying Boston Fire/Ladder 25. It really does represent the prototype . I have another, unbuilt one. This and Snowden Theater are my favorite kits. Both are challenging. Sometime you have to walk away from it for a bit. Great designs. Happy to see you stirring around. Good Luck on the employment situation. Jim
