While at my LHS last week, I heard a rumor that yet another Chinese manufacturer who provides product for a major US model train company is in trouble, and will likely file for bankruptcy as soon as the Chinese New Year celebration comes to an end. The American Company involved in this story has been the subject of many rumors for so long now, I'm wondering if anyone else has heard similar rumors? Bill in FtL
Yup. If true, could just be a firm located somewhere between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, Canada and Mexico.
There is one company...in New Jersey...who, if you believe even half the reports over the years, has been on the ropes for a long, long time. I think I know the one you're referring to.....the one I'm thinking of is about a mile north. I made some calls....know some folks in the biz....while there are many problems, he was not aware of another PRC train manufacturer getting ready to go under. Now we watch, and see if it's two-year-old information, or something just under the radar. Dave
Unfortunately, the only way to get up-to-date information in the model railroad world is to pre-order it.
Wait, wait, hold the presses. According to my Ouija Board the company involved is........ O... N... A... H... E... M OK, that does not make any sense.
Calling up on the higher powers of Ouija board decipher-ating..... ooooohhhhmmmmmmmm oooohhhhmmmmmmmmm ooooohhhhmmmmmmmm O.N.A.H.E.M = Mehano? This does sound like 2 year old information, however.
I have been trying my Ouija board all day. But the only prediction which is coming forth is about some ship named Titanic hitting an iceberg, then sinking... We'd better warn people about that!
