To Hemi, Yes it is an Overland model, part of the UP Business train release, From memory they did a WP car in original colours as well but I was only interested in Fox River. Got to see the car in Denver in Sept 2000 (in UP colours) so it was must buy To Jason..... DoH!!!!!
I wanted to post this picture earlier, but I didn't do it correctly. As you can tell, I like passenger trains...
Hello Bill Denton !!!! Because of your spread in NSR, I'm going to add-on to my layout with urban RRing. Maybe,I'll run a RDC down the middle of the street
No pics, as I haven't repainted my cars, but I plan on modeling a railroad running through a rural area, late 50's early sixties. Such trains often had more head end cars than passengers. My train will consist of an REA reefer, a former army kitchen car in express service, a couple of baggage cars, one or more PRR X-29's in express service, plus an RPO if I can obtain one. Passengers will ride in a Rivarossi combine, with an extra coach added on summer weekends. Power will be a single PA-1. This train connects the Syracuse-Philadelphia Interstate express with Schenectady, NY. Frank
Megakudos, gentlemen! Bob, I love the Daylight, it is one of my favorite trains, thanks for posting. Hemi, very nice action on the Action Road, love the Rio Grande only slightly less than the Santa Fe! Paul, that trainshed is beautiful. And Bill, I always have to crank my jaw up off the floor after you post one of your photos...next time, could you warn me so I can put a pillow under my chin? I also enjoy a bit of passenger operations, although I haven't yet started working on detailing my passenger trains: [ 12. January 2005, 19:40: Message edited by: Warbonnet-Fan ]
It seems that there is life for Passenger Trains in the World of N-Scale and all of the ones I have seen so far look fantastic. I intend on Getting a High Speed Electric soon and when I do You will all be the first to know
Bill D, Your stuff amazes me, and generally makes me look like a beginner! Thanks, Verne, I didn't know you were an Aspen Gold fan...
Gentleman, Thanks for all the nice compliments Paul, that trainshed is awesome Verne, Sorry about your jaw. I'll warn you next time Hemi, Those are Mike Skibbe's CGW F's
Skibbe's F unit fleet is very nice.. I remember the article on their CGW layout in Great Model RR's, I think it was...
Russell, Thanks for getting me straightened out. So I should use the "IMAGE" buttton and put my pic in like http://www.railimages.com/gallery/pauldowns/aaa.jpg ? I got some sweet pictures of my L&N units cruising through Sugarland at Chantilly. It was one of the highlights of my 4 1/2 trip around the Red Line.
