He must think it's made of gold! You can pick up cabooses around $3000 from most railroads or scrap yards. [IMG]

    They're definitely trolling for suckers.

The listing fees should have set them back a few dollars.....

It looks like it is in very good shape. The cabooses I have seen for $3,000 don't seem to be in that kind of shape.

Even in good shape not worth that many zeros. Some one's been in the liquor cabinet. [IMG]

Brand new, I don't think the railroads paid that much!! [IMG] The seller must have put a couple too many zero's in there! [IMG]

A comment made in the DRGW Yahoo list was that for the same cash, you could buy a new SD70M!
    Ridiculous!

They also have that D&RGW paperwork at six digits left of the decimal point. Am betting they've caught a case of too many zeroes-itis.

I privately offered the guy a million dollars, in cash, and he turned it down.

Wonder if the fact that it was Monopoly money had anything to do with it?

I wonder why he even bothered listing it? For that kind of asking price it better come with 1000 acres of lakefront property, and the rest of the train!

Oh. I didn't see those extra zeros in there. I thought it was 2 grand.

The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.

I wonder why.

The noise from thousands of people laughing at him was too much to bear?

Well, actually, it's some modern spycraft we're witnessing. Some traitor wants to alert his spy-handlers that his cohorts are on to him and so he can't contact them the usual way. So Plan B is to list something on eBay at a price that conveys the coded message "out of reach." His handler has in some other way communicated back to him "OK, message understood" and so he ended the auction early.

    See?
