HO folks, who makes a decently scale accurate, SMALL 1945-1959 era tug boat? Something non-ocean going, which would nudge around log booms, small barges, etc, in a harbor setting.

Also, am wondering if someone makes a fishing boat which is like those seen in the Pacific NW, (Oregon, Washington, BC, Alaska), which fits in the same time frame as the tug boat above? Not a large craft, such as a processor, but smaller such as a purse seine or gill netter, etc? Not really interested in any major kit bashing, but willing to alter some details to create the proper effect.

Cool. That little tug is what I am looking to find. I will probably order it.

Only one of the fishing boats is really a west coast style. A lot of those I knew in my younger days had the pilot house forward and fishing equipment rear. Except some gill netters. Anyhow, it's design looks to be slightly later than my time frame. And at $109, a bit beyond my current budget.

I am glad you at least found a suitable tug. I don't model HO myself but it's fun to look at all the stuff that available in that scale.

I am an inactive N scaler. These days working in HOn30. Slowly getting in deeper and doing a modular themed little PNW operation, with a small port area.

Nice models! The tug is more ocean going. Probably a bit too large for my allotted space. (I only have four inch width for the scene.) I am probably ordering one via that site suggested by nscalestation. Waiting to hear back from them on required shipping info.

Yes. The fishing boat is more modern, but it is much closer to the style in my mind.

Have the Seaport Model Works tug boat kit in hand. Unpacked and started cleaning up for assembly.

Still looking for a period specific fishing boat from the PNW. Also need to find a few figures to populate the boat and dock. Woodland Scenics has what I would like, but it shows as out-of-stock.
