http://www.ebay.com/itm/PROTO-1000-...137109?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item1c3066f155 i have a set in storage & i cant remember lol since they are late 90s early 2000s im guess yes only because i have a SD-7 & its dcc ready
I have a set of Proto 1000 F3s that were DCC ready. I styled a styrene sheet platform for an NCE DASR, did the usual connections, and replaced bulbs with 3mm LEDs. The best way to tell if they are DCC ready is to remove the shells and take a look. The A & B aren't perfectly speed matched, so some tweaking is needed. Also my F3s were in that select group of Protos that needed new axle gears. My Proto 2000 SD7 and all of E units did not.
