The wings that UP is bring back on there lcos look great! I was wondering the area that these wings will take? Also, how much will this plan cost UPRR? ------------------ //BC Rail King
BC Rail King- The UPRR will put the wings on all of its wide cab locomotives before they leave the shop after maintenance, etc. I'm not sure how much the plan will cost UP, but I think they will start at the end of 2000. You can find out more at UPRR's website at www.uprr.com. Hope that helped. -NSBrakeman
The Wings will be nothing like the wings that are applied to the E units, but at least UP is going a little further back with the paint schemes. I am 20 min from the GMD plant, I'll keep my eyes peeled, the SD70's are due anytime now ------------------ J.E. Pindar Webmaster-Canadian Pacific Railway Resources http://cpr.railfan.net
BCRailKing, there is a UP photo in the April Model Railroader, page 47, showing the wings on a SD60M, the wings were added by computer! to show what they will look like. ------------------ Alan www.ac-models.com Andersley.homestead.com galleryusarail_tehcaj.homestead.com

There is a great picture in the April 'Trains' magazine, showing the wings on a wide nose unit. They are going to look great! May even turn me into a UP modeller
