Can anyone give me some real world input on using a non Aristo/PWC control with Aristo locomotives/? I am receiving a new Aristo loco for xmas......and have both power options......the indoor layout can use the Aristo 5400 I have......but come spring, the outdoor layout uses a regular non pwc control. I am just looking for some input as to others thoughts and experiences. I realize what the pwc Aristo power packs do.......how they operate, etc......just looking for any "gotchas" you all may have experienced. Happy Holidays! Darryl
Darryl, Some Sound Cards are picky about PWC, Also if you have any MTH Locos and plan on running them with the Aristo locos DO NOT use the PWC setting as it will cook the MTH Boards. I use the Aristo 27Mhz system in Linear (Straight DC ) Mode and the Aristo Locomotives run just fine, plus I can run my MTH Locomotives and Aristo, USA and Bachmann Locomotives with Aftermarket Sound Cards, one Phoenix, and two Tsunami's at the same time with the one system. Aristo power Shawn, Boxcab, Thanks for the info and the links. I have done some reading on this subject before, and appreciate the input. I will play with the Rogers, and see how things go. I dont have anything with sound....maybe in the future, so this will be interesting. All this will have to wait untill "Mrs. Santa" decides to let me open the box!! lol Darryl
