I will be making a short notice trip to Arizona next weekend Sat.-Tue. 6/2-6/5, turns out that BNSF will be giving me a couple extra days off. I figured it's time for a road trip, I decided on Arizona, I live in LA, and am planning to take the Interstate 8 East and stop off in Yuma fisrt. From there I am planning to go to Pheonix, where I plan to stay, I will return on the Interstate 10. I would like to know if anybody can give me a few good spots to get some pictures and video. I have 4 wheel drive and usually don't mind trespassing, but this time I will have my wife with me, so I don't want to do anything too extreme. This will be my first time to Arizona. Does BNSF pass through anywhere around the Pheonix Area? I have got plenty of maps of the UP Trackage. Thank you for all help.

Good, thank you. BNSF has been really slow lately, so they laid off alot of people in March, they called me back after about a month, but it has not picked up too much. They might start laying off again, but hopefully I will not have too much to worry about, because now I am driving the yard hostler trucks. They seem to lay off groundman first. Talk to you later.

You might consider changing your route and going to Barstow, then taking I-40 to Needles and up to Kingman. BNSF tracks in sight a lot of the way, and canyons around Kingman are great. Should see a lot of warbonnets through there.
