Can't find a good map on the 'Net! Is some of this trackage part of, or affiliated with what was once the Northern Alberta Railways? Boxcab E50
Yeah, NAR is what came to mind immediately. I lived in Ft Mac for 3 years '85-'88. Had a chance to ride the old "Muskeg Mixed" a couple of times. Wasn't much traffic back then. I'm halfway surprised (but happy as all get out) that they never abandoned the line. Do you mean that they extended the r-o-w from the old Waterways station up to one of the tarsands plants? I've got a bunch of slides of the NAR and Waterways. The problem will be in digging them out. I also don't have a good way of digitizing them. Good to hear of the old NAR again. Regards
I thought so! What caught my attention, was the word "Waterways." I knew that had a historical connection to older days of the NAR. Boxcab E50
