    Does anyone know if the handrails/stanchions will take paint satisfactorily as I see the latest run has red walkways AND handrails etc.

    I was wondering the same thing. I was a little disappionted when I saw the red handrails. It is the one thing keeping me from buying all the #'s they did.

    BNSF7173 (if I may give this credit to him) says delrin handrails will take paint if you clean them first in a 91 percent alcohol bath. I soaked mine for 6 hours and they did take acrylic paint just fine. No worries! :thumbs_up:

    Yes Flash that is right, I soak my handrails in 91% alcahol overnight and paint them Polly Scale Undercoat Light Gray and then paint the handrails the correct colors. I have done this for the past five years and they hold up well in an N-Trak enviourment.
