   Has anyone tried an Athearn FP45 shell on a Kato SDF40 mechanism? I have a couple bought off Ebay that I cannot get to run reliably at all. I'm wondering if a simple shell swap would work.

   If it fits, the trucks would be wrong. The SDP40F has HTC trucks while the F/FP45s have Flexicoils.
