Athearn snow plows

    Hey, I am currently in the process of detailing my Athearn C44s and I need to know which front blade to use to make it accurate. Which company and which model # would be helpful. Any suggestions?

    What Railroad? Do you have a specific unit in mind?

    Guessing that you are detailing a BNSF unit I checked the details west web site - they have a page on detailing a BNSF C44-9W and they use plow # 235 and it looks about right to me [​IMG]

    Well I knew I left out something: Yes I am detailing BNSF C44s. #s 709, 986,4354 & AC44 5600.

    I will check out the Details West page as suggested. Thanks for the reply.

    Check out Charles Biel's BNSF Photo Archive for photos - he does not have those units but does have photos of units close numbers. Be sure to let us know how they turn out! [​IMG]

    Details West or Detail Associates make a full Detail Kit for an Athearn C44-9CW, has plows and other gear to detail one up nice.

    My father has done one.
