(I posted this question to the ATlas forum; it may have been addresses there previously, but I rarely go there any more). Originally, (a year or 2 ago), Paul Graf had stated that their intent of releasing the Classic line was to imporve on the original and offer newer technologies... the SD7/9's must certainly be around the corner now that the SD35 is done (plus the SD24's ) He stated that they would also do the GP40's as DCC ready too. I am bummed if this is true Harold ------------------ Harold Hodnett Fan of NS, CSX, and their predecessors! Now Open! The North Carolina Railfan Web Site http://www.trainweb.org/ncrail/
Maybe the DCC frames are not ready yet and Atlas wanted to give us something to hold us over. Hey Zinker! You know which ones I want! Better order them ASAP along with some BNSF decal Patches! ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot! Ship it on the Route of The Roadrunners! I haven't even gotten my BNSF B23-7's yet and am already having to plan for some ATSF GP35's. Oh well, I'm just glad to get a chance to pick up some engines I missed the last time they were out. ------------------ Richard Turney
a yippie! another gp30 and gp35 just what we need how many times can they release these things. why can't we get a classic release on the sd50? lots of roads left out there. forget the little power for awhile and give us some kcs sd50's and some nw's. ------------------ fly with route of the eagles.rock n roll all night and railroad everyday!
I wish Atlas would come out with big modern diesels. I have about 40 Atlas locos, but have moved over to Kato for now. I think the Kato locos run smoother, are more quiet, and look better. Plus the C44-9W is just plain great, and I can hardly wait for the SD-90's... Atlas has become boring to me. Art

Atlas made a rs11 & rsd15 at 1 time( like all limited runs) they said it will be released as a classic line. we just don't know when and atlas keeps tight lipped about future runs. the ho rs11 was just released and we thought the "N" version was next, they came out with the gp-30 & 35 next. Andy
I could use another ATSF GP30, also a GP35. They look great on locals ------------------ Alan Curtis. Moderator. Member #12 The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.alancurtismodels.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
