Well my PC has been down for awhile, but I got it back working finally. Working late didn't give me much of a chance to do anything with it. I finally got the photos downloaded to RailImages of the clubs layout and I am going to start a new thread on that one. Then I can start on the ATSF Line again.
Thats a work session Saturday on the club layout, and I know Sunday will be tied up with church. If I can get them to switch Saturdays, I could make it then. Thats a pretty good show, and I would like to make it.
Jerry, That show is one of my favorites too. Hope you are able to fit it in. Also looking forward more updates on your layout.
The detailing is very well done. Only complaint is the couplers hang a little low....easy fix, and the top railing around the cupola needs some additional bending....also easy fix.
I am very pleased with these. It is by far the best ATSF Caboose to be released in N Scale and I am going to order more soon.
Thanks for posting up some pics of them Jerry! They look great! I'm buying them right now... not gonna miss out on these like I did the SP cabooses from Athearn. Mike
Jerry these do look sweet. Is it me or dose it look like the coupler is sagging a little in this pic?
Yes, the couplers sag a little. If you look at the first picture, (Side shot), you can really see this on both ends. Going to see whats the best way to fix this tomorrow.
Z scale couplers and custom draft gears! At least z scale couplers. These are beautiful models. I hope they do a prototypical extended vision caboose sometime. Were there any of the other paint variants in the 90's or were they all the standard all-red scheme?
In the 80's they did a few in the Kodachrome paint, and there was a special Christmas painted one too. The only difference I can think of in the 90's would be the redone, all red roofs.
Oh Jerry Hey, You had to post photos of the ATSF cabooses:thumbs_up: Well they looked so good I had to break my vow of no new purchases until next year.....:tb-sad: Now I just have to figure out how to get them past incoming inspection....:tb-err: I should be getting a box from woo woo woo Klien in a couple of days, and I can't wait to see these up close
