This is to annouce the inaugural Australian Model Railway Convention.

It is being held at The Workshops Rail Museum in Ipswich on 28 Feb 2009.

For those who have not been to the Museum before it is well worth the trip and if you remember my thread of the Heritage colour scheme English Electric Diesel this is where it was refurbished.

Registration is $66 for the day starting at 8.30 and finishing about 5.15. Your fee includes entry fee, lunch and convention pack. there will be info on weathering, advanced scenery, digital control and lots more.

Here is a link to the museum website where you can download a registration form and view the days program. http://www.theworkshops.qm.qld.gov.a...vents/amrc.asp

I confirmed it at our meeting today, the Ipswich Heritage Model Railway Club will have our on-site clubrooms open during the convention and will be hosting a BBQ in the evening.

I would really enjoy attending. The distance and economy as it is makes it out of reach right now. Hopefully, I can return to Oz one day soon.

I hope your event will be a huge success. :)
