I obviously can't go since I'm 8000 miles and a hemisphere away. But I was in Australia this past March (love the place, BTW) and did visit Canberra. I also got to see some Pacific National trains running through the Blue Mountains. One Q - who manufactures Australian model trains? Is N more popular than HO there?
Jase/Rowan - the convention is in Canberra 16-18 October - 11th National N Scale Convention, Canberra 2009 - with a meet and great and informal meal on Thursday night (15/10). MRL - there are a few frontline manufacturers that have established in the last few year, primarily in HO. Here's a couple of the N manufacturers; Aust-N Rail Frate-N The Australian HO crowd outnumber the N both in manufacturers and modellers.
