I have been in N Scale since 1965. Figure out what a person would have spent to belong to two bowling leagues a year for 37 years..... or try having two season tickets to the Bears games for that same time..... ouch!! The difference is that I have something to show for my years of recreational hobby enjoyment....and an ever-increasing circle of good friends, some of whom I have never met face-to-face, all over the world!!! Model Railroading is truly the World's Greatest Hobby!!!
Galesburg & Savanna Rwy.Co. Progress Update Have installed wood base floor trim on 80% of the South half of the layout room. Am trying to finish the base and two door frame trims by this Wednesday when the NW NTRAK crew comes over expecting to see inter-worksession progress. Ain't peer pressure a great motivator??? Charlie
Galesburg & Savanna Update- NW NTRAK crew completed the finish coat on the drywall walls and ceiling of the south half of the basement railroad room. This weekend should see laying of the carpet tiles in the room, thus allowing the north portion (actually less than half of the total area) to be attacked. It has a couple of coats of mud on it already so it is expected to see completion before the end of June. We will be shooting a base reference line in the south half this Wednesday. The itch to start hanging shelf brackets and benchwork is getting strong!!! Have a relaxing and safe holiday weekend!
