    AZL 75I Pulling Power

I have 3 75's that I most always run in consist. The maximum cars I've pulled with them is 38 with caboose and that's up a 2% grade. Never had a problem with them until this past April when I was doing a local train show. The three were working great until they just stopped dead. No power at all. I started working with them taking one off at a time starting from the front. It wasn't until I took number 3 in the rear off that the power came back. After taking this one apart and giving it a good cleaning, I notice a traction wheel had broken and gotten lodged in the gearing. One excellent fellow here, sent me anothe traction wheel after I had exhausted my search and I put it on and reassembled the engine. It worked great for about and hour. This was a couple of months ago or so. Now it runs like a piece of crap. I don't know if I did something to it when I had it apart or what but it's absolutely horrible. When I try to run it with the other two, no matter which position I put it in, or face it, it drains power from the other two and stops and starts and generally runs poorly. I've cleaned and recleaned my track and cleaned the other two engines, but to no avail. Since I can't seem to find the address for AZL to send this back and have it overhauled, I'm considering taking the gearing out and running it as an unpowered dummy. I also checked the contacts on both trucks and everything looks OK. I just don't understand why of 3 75's this one is giving me so much grief. Can anyone help or provide me with AZL's address so I can send this one back?

I'm affraid your loco's motor suffered from beeing stuck as a piece of traction tire blocked the truck's gearing...

Take the shell off the SD70, and follow it with a flashlight. Look at the blind wheel, and its it rotating?

    Hi John.

If you're referring to the center wheels of each truck, yes I did that. Yes they are turning.

Did you see it rotating on the track under its own power. Its not a good test if you spin it with your hand.
