SCL bought a few GE BQ23-7s in the 70's which CSX later made into "B" units. http://www.flickr.com/photos/hunter1828/517319341/ Some of our members who know about CSX might know if any are still active.
Unfortunately, they're long gone off the CSX roster, and cut up.:tb-sad: It was hoped one or more might make it to a museum, but no dice.
Yes, the C&NW units were called Crandall Cabs. There may be someone on this Forum or Atlas that kitbashed a unit or two for dinky service. IIRC they may have had short careers. Seems to me C&NW, RI, & Milw got some of the first F40's working for Metra.
