Sorry Mike, nope, not at all. You'll have to do a conversion as the railroads did for the most part. There have been brass models available in the past, though.
Raintree Models also made castings that with some work to fit and painting provided "B" unit models. Raintree usually exhibits at the Great Scale Model Train Show in Timonium MD. Jerry
Well I found the ad... it was HO scale Athern SD60 B units... what I wouldn't give for some B or helper units in N scale, just to spice things up a bit!
My buddy kept telling me helpers wouldn't work in N until I proved him wrong. I have an older LifeLike GP18 I ran on the point and an old Kato/Atlas RS11 I used as a helper and they ran for several hours without a hitch! Was quite fun!! As for B units, I don't know of any available in N. But, if you supply the unit and parts and such, I might be able to bash ya a little somethin somethin.
Gary, Would you still have that e-mail I sent you awhile ago about Atlas BN,B30-7B units a shop on e-bay was selling? They nowhere near as good as your's,but it might be a way for Mike to get one or two?
DesPlaines Hobbies makes a "B" Unit conversion for GP7/9 units that could be used to do SD24 "B" units also.... the rest would have to be kitbashed just like the prototype did! Charlie Vlk
