    All,

I posted this same post under 'Layout Design' but thought I'd post it here as well.

Looking for any lessons learned or constructive advise for using Bachmann's EZ-Command DCC system with Kato's Unitrack.

From what I have read there shouldn't be any issues using the two products together. The reason I chose the Bachmann system is for its simplicity and low-entry cost. I chose the Kato Unitrack WGH layout for its quality and that it provides some immediate 'opportunities'.

The only issue I see is that I will have to cut the plug off the Bachmann track feeder so that I can wire it to the Unitrack. For now I ma going to leave the switches on the layout as manual switches. Powering them may come later down the road.

    Appreciate any feedback.

Just cut the plug off hook the two wires up same as connecting DC. There really is no difference netween DC and DCC when connecting the wires to the rails. One wire goes to each rail. As long as they don't touch together there will not be a short circuit. A short is a short, DCC just has more sensitive and faster circuit breakers than most DC power packs.
