I got a Forney yesterday tat I had ordered, 2-4-4, and have not run it on the tracks yet. It looks like it is going to be just fine, no little gears. Will see how it does with my 18" curves, if good, I might just get another. NWSL says the gears are not interchangeable between shays.
Yesterday, finally, I got the replacement trucks again. Again they have broken gears in the bag. I suggest anyone interested in a Bachmann On30 shay find something else. Customer service is terrible and the parts are consistently broken. At least they are consistent. Dang and that is such a cool looking loco
ALRIGHT we are half way there. I got another pair of trucks and the rear were/are okay. Just the front to go.........................
