    There were comments on this problem in March. The solution for two people was to make a new drawbar with a "U" bend to clear the tender/engine wire bundles. My solution was: there are four pockets, like poling pockets, at the bottom rear of the cab wall; I used a paper clip (nothing esoteric, here), bent two 90 deg angles, drilled two holes, engr's side inner pocket, & fireman's side outer pocket (In drilling inner pocket, I ran into something metallic, on this side)), looped the wiring over the clip. This drew up the wires easily clearing the existing drawbar. The slack is now behind the upper clip surface, and the tender. There seems to be plenty of wire length, so there should be no problem on curves.
    I also found that using the forward hole on the drawbar, would require something like 30" R curves.
