The market for "Old Time" figures is not exactly overloaded in O scale (although there are lots of GREAT figures out there). I decided that for general, background folk I would try and backdate some modern figures I got on that Bay place. These figures were not highly detailed to begin with BUT they were cheap. It is amazing what a little paper, wire, and in one case, a washer can do for the look of people. Sorry for the bad focus on some of these pics...not a great camera. I start with my very first attempts and in the next submission show you what I have developed over time.

Anyway, let me know what you think!
    Best,
    John

    Good morning JCater.

Your "backdated" people will look good. A layout can always use more people and the ones in the background need not be detailed very much. Clothing styles change, but 'hand-me-downs' are still worn, so just about any clothing will do. That woman on the end... well I would
    avoid her.

Thanks Larry, they actually quite fun to do. I have been looking at old fashion ads from the turn of the century and then trying to reproduce them on these figures. Its kind of cool! I would avoid the woman on the end too!! The kids in the town think she is a witch ;)

I forgot to mention that these are really easy...a couple of hours per figure is all. Lots of fun!
