Hey guys, I've recently started to work on a layout that has been in the family for a couple decades and want to keep the original Lionel Tube Track on the layout but spice it up with ballast. Has anyone seen or done this before???? Ive been researching and haven't found much, so i figured i would ask on here. Thanks.
Yes. I did it with mine, although many long years ago. It looks good and there were never any problems.
Boxcab, Any pointers that you can remember? Did you put any material under the track to help with the ballast angle? Also you have any photo's of the track on your layout like this?
