For years I have used these batteries in my DCC builds. I have lost the contact where I purchased them.
Does anyone recognize them? I would appreciate any help in locating a source.

Looks similar to those I have seen used in cordless phones.

These are common Lithium battery packs. They are about 10-20 dollars on the internet. Make sure that you get the 2 wire version, 3.7V pack. The multiwire packs use charge controls/sensing which you do not need.

I've ordered similar ones from ydlbattery.com, they offer multiple sizes and capacities. I'm using a 606090 in an upcoming project that I'll be taking to Amherst.

I've checked AliExpress but can't find this exact battery, which I need due to size (2"x 1 3/8" x 1/8") I've only found larger sizes.

Mike good to hear from you! Everything I've seen has that yellow cellophane top .. the one I pictured is just the battery with two wires attached. Dave Bodnar turned me on to the one I pictured many years ago but I have lost the source. Even the ones on ydlbattery.com are too thick, but may be adaptable .. I stack two in series to accommodate 7.4V. Is the circuitry I see on the one on ydlbattery.com to for charging?

The gotcha is your 1/8" thickness. It's hard to find 1S lipos in that capacity that is that thin. There's one on ydlbattery that may work as the dimensions seem to be at or less than your original. Although the capacity is slightly less at 500mAh but that may work for you.

BTW, this is a 1S or a single cell lipo. It will ONLY have two wires coming out. Multiple wire lipos are packs made with more than one cell. They share a same common and each positive represent one cell. For example, a 2S or 2 cell lipo will have 3 wires coming out (or a separate balance plug of 3 wires). That's for cell balancing during charging. Anyway, you don't have to worry about the number of wires in your case. It will always be two.

the small PCB at the "top" of the pack is a protection circuit for the battery itself, it will / should prevent over charge and over discharge. More than likely the battery you are currently using has something similar under the white wrapper.

Definitely be careful in doing this as the protection circuits may restrict what you can / can not do with them safely.
