Has CN pretty much left the BCR freight cars alone or are they getting rid of then and renumbering them into the CN fleet? I saw a bunch of ex-BCR center beam flats and several box cars still lettered for BCR. Also I saw a box car with EEC markings but it still had the Dog Wood flower on it. Greg
BCR Freight Cars The Willamette & Pacific/Portland & Western has some former BCR log cars in service through here. The cars are still in BCR Green but the reporting marks now read W&P
Are they 65' cars or older 50' cars? We have some log cars rolling through here with the UP detour trains, I'll have to pay closer attention to the reporting markings. Thanks for the heads up. Greg
The cars are 60 foot Skeleton type cars with four bunks. The BCR paint is intact except for the reporting marks.
Ah, thanks for that. I sure need to get up there and shoot some of those operations, still interesting power and trains even if the paint has changed. Greg
