Does anyone know where I can find info on benwood jct. and wheeling steel around the 1950's. I'm looking for any info or pictures of the yard and round house also benwood station. Thanks Greg
Greg. I don't know if it would be of much help to you, but I have an eight page article from the Winter 1976 issue of Railfan Magazine. There is nothing on the steel mill as I recall, but does include a couple of pictures of the engine terminal and at least one of Benwood Jct. depot. The text describes an EM-1 cab ride from Wheeling to Holloway, OH. I could photo-copy it and mail it to you, or scan, and e-mail if you wish. I can't guarantee the reproduction quality though.
