The 4 units that are captive testing cold weather bio diesel have a big decal on them, I have seen two now running north. At with temps hovering around minus 50 for the past 2 days they must be getting a work out.
Strange that I have not seen any other mention of these units. I know it's cold, but surely someone has grabbed a quick photo? Boxcab E50
There are four AC4400CWs in captive service during the biodiesel pilot - 9727, 9731, 9740, and 9528. Of these, only 9727 and 9731 are wearing the special biodiesel paint scheme. 9740 and 9528 are regular beaver units. The biodiesel project was successfully concluded on March 31, 2010. The specially-painted units looked like this:
