    Hey all,

I'm going to go with block wiring on my pike,
and had this question. I'm only going to switch one lead from the power pack to the track. I have gapped the inside rail to get
the blocks. Do people usually switch the + side or the - side? My guess is the + side, but would it really matter?

Thanks for all your great advice.

Doesn't matter since when you reverse the power to reverse the train you've got + and - mixed up anyway. The one thing to be careful of, though, is during operation do not let a loco cross into a block that is under the control of another cab.

A long drawn out discussion on another board recently dealt with this topic. I'm not sure if it's allowed but rather than rehash the whole thing here go to this site.
