The girls weren't operating as they were plugged in charging. But that didn't stop me from taking pictures of my favorite girls at IRM I'm going to link you to my girlfriends photobucket account. She hosts my photos for me when I need space. So click this link to enjoy: Burlington Northern Executive Units - Photobucket Groups
Very nice.. I used to live about 3 mins from there.. My dad used to farm the corn field across the road.
I was so disappointed when BNSF donated these as I'd rather see them running on business trains. Especially 1&2. #3 never did anything for me. They wear that scheme so much better than the MACs do. I would have been neat if after the merger they had made a Warbonnet set to match. Alas.
From what I understand, BNSF Donated them because they had no plans to use them on their business trains and would rather see them run then be scrapped. Again this is what I was told out at IRM, whether or not that is true, I don't know, but I'm glad that they do actually run.
Yeah, Santa Fe never had use for Power that was business train specific, so when the merger happened, that Ethos came with it. I under stand it from a logical standpoint, but I don't need to be happy with it as a railfan. They didn't last very long on the BN maybe 5 years?
