Does anyone have pic's of any BNSF 5 bay rapid discharge hoppers with the new Wedge scheme applied? I saw a string of them today on the CSX line in Lordstown, Ohio (no camera :( ).

    Thanks in advance!

Nope, I did gather some number info though. I had my camera but it was pouring rain.

There were 4 mixed into a eastbound loaded TXUX train (January 28, 2006; Decatur, TX; BNSF Wichita Falls Subdivision):

    Welcome to Trainboard!!!
Warren, OH? I grew up in North Jackson... Dad works at GM...
    That's my old stompin' grounds!
No pics of the same, but I managed to grab a twilight shot of a new swoosh scheme tank car:

I don't care for the new logo, but it is looking good on the rolling stock.

The scheme can grow on you. At first, it was almost a sacriledge to abandon the BNSF's great heritage of RR's, but it's not a bad scheme when it's clean!

These photos of new BNSF paint jobs look fantastic.

I live in Atlanta, GA so I don't get to see BNSF except for an occassional Coal Train coming thru these parts. Gets mighty old seeing CSX and NS all the time.

Please, post more photos of new BNSF painted rollingstock! I want to change some of my Z scale rollingstock now!

    Thanks

My wife loves this new logo and the colors are ok, but I still like the green better. I think maybe if the orange were red, the red and black would look better. I hope some day to do my "what if" BNSF paint scheme. The scheme would look much like it does now, but replace the the Orange for Santa Fe silver, the black for Chinese Red, keep the SF style striping and cigar band up front and use the CB&Q font for BNSF.

Oh well wait a few years, BNSF has had more paint schemes in the last 10 years than most railroads have had in their existance.

The nose of a loco is no place for that logo. The side of your shoe maybe but not on a loco nose.

The logo really looks pretty good on freight cars. I still haven't decided if I like it on the locos or not.
