According to a board member over at Locophotos.com, BNSF are storing B23-7s at Topeka, KS. Does this mean BNSF is in the process for retiring these ex-ATSF 4 axle GE's numbered in the #4200 series, which are probably the last Dash7's in Class I service? And, as we all know, older GE's don't last as long with American roads as EMDs. http://www.locophotos.com/Read.php?ThreadID=4832 Railpictures.net, though, shows BNSF B23-7s still in use as late as March of this year, so who knows? I just discovered that the maintenance contract with GE on these units expired at the end of March of this year.
I can attest to at least one B30-7 in CSX paint- it's mated with a B40-8 and used as the Cordele switcher/local power. I know last year they had a B36-7 in Cordele in the same duty, not sure if the B36s are still around tho........
I know CSX still has a lot of B30-7/B36-7's in service. They are quite common around Atlanta. Most are used on locals. You don't see them on main line trains anymore.

BNSF FAN, Shot this in Cordele a couple of weeks ago: Part of a power consist in a drag freight. For all I know, it may have been DIT, but I couldn't tell. I'm assuming it was under power- I hope so, this train looked like it had half of Rice Yard in it
