BNSF Glendive, MT

This one is an Ohio, self propelled and pretty heavy duty.

 

I seen this one in Auburn Yard a couple months ago, similar?

This one looks newer, but still has BN markings!

 

It is setting out back this morning, so I will get a few closeups. This is just for fun,

There's a brand new tamper around,

Uncle Pete is leading this train,

With "Stickers" being third in line!

 

Caught a fast train yesterday! CSX was leading a westbound loaded grain train at the Yellowstone siding between Fallon and Terry. It is a fairly new siding.

 

I had caught that CSX earlier in the morning,
Along with an H1 -9!

 

And a few detail shots of that Ohio,

 

Sunday morning's trip to Billings, had a surprise train,


And caught up with it again a bit later,

 

Early yesterday this manifest was working the east end of the yard.



And two trains at Rider, ND,

 

And it was a lot of fun, too! Now if I could just get my camera figured out for low light focusing. . . . .

Rough looking Bonnet AND that H1, my favorite paint scheme for BNSF.

 

I've seen those too, fire suppressor for stack fires, lol?!

 

I am not certain, but it appears on most of the older GE's from the -9 series around here. It may be a frame for a stack cap when they were in storage? Or for some other modification that was tried on the exhaust? If anybody knows, fill us in?

Had our first heavy snow for the last two days, and this 40 is idling away waiting for a crew call.
