Here's my latest project, A GP60M. Now that the sound Decoder is in place I can build the new walk way and add ditch lights so the head light can go back to normal (In the video you will notice that the lower headlight flashes when the horn is sound). Here are the photos. The B unit is equipped with a silent decoder. Quick test video below. So, what brand of coupler will you use. Sargent makes a really nice prototypical coupler, that works like the real thing. It does not take too kindly to Kadee's, so I hear.
Dan Kadees, I took them off to work on the engine. I've completed the reconstruction of the broken front walkway and installed it last night. I'm quite happy with the result. The next move is to find the correct ditch lights so I can get to the paint stage. Here is a photo with the new walkway in place. Can anyone tell me the closest color match to the BNSF green on the Athearn GP60M? verse
southern6900 An older MRC deisel sound drop in decoder, #1634. The sounds aren't as good as the newer decoders but for an old decoder I'm quite satisfied with it. The engine sound might be different from an actual GP60M but it'll have to do for now, I'll tranfer it to a P2K B&O GP30, further down the Decoder ‘to install list’, later. Love the extra/random sounds that this decoder offers, automatic flange, rail clank etc. I don't know if this is normal with the decoder but when I let the train run for long periods the horn sounds every now and then and the bell comes on by itself. Probably a flaw, if so it's one I can live with. verse

Watash Macro mode, on a 8 magapixel camera. The Macro feature allows me to move to within 10 inches of the subject. I also use it for the videos that I've linked to this thread. verse
Verse, I wonder how a 2 meg camera would work on macro? The only way I have been able to get a close up is to shoot through a 6" magnifying glass.
