Something I have been doing in the Delaware & Hudson Forum (Fallen Flags) is have a Topic / Class of engine so I thought I might try this in other forums to see what happens. Here is a shot my wife took of BNSF #9273 (SD60M) while we were out photographing RR Stations in the area.
Nice catch and a great Idea! The SD60M is one of my wife's favorite locomotives so I'm always on the look out. Here is white face 9267 with only a small BNSF patch applied. This was a trailing unit on a hot intermodel out of Chicago. The train is headed West on the C&I Div. The picture was taken in May, just west of the Oregon IL station. I'm standing just below the Morrison Branch track near Rt. 2. Charlie knows this location well!
SD60M's preparing to detach from southbound train and head west to rescue a stalled train at East Saugatuck. Holland, Michigan - October 11, 2001.
They are very nice locos, and one I am happy to say am modeling in Z Scale out of a set of NS SD70M's. I already made the decal sets, and have drawn up the laser files for the truck sideframes, and nose door with porthole. I'm doing the 2 window variety with the above cab headlights. I have scowered the web looking at hundreds of photos, so I can represent them as accurately as possible.
2 Deuces trail 2 more SD60M's ay Cheyene; a rare sight indeed in 2005 to catch a solid Cascade green consist!
