Question. How would one simulate automated protypical breaking and acceleration on an analog lay-out. Example: Train runs over a track contact, the timer is set and the train breaks evenly. After the timed stop the train gently accelerates to the pre selected speed. We use LGB 50110 5 amp transformer with the new LGB 51070 thottle. We do not want to go into digital operation (yet) or use the mighty Jumbo transformer (which provides this feature) nor do we have excesive electrical knowledge. Who can help / provide info? Thanks, Ruud @ bigtrainstation.com
Hallo Ruud, Welkom op het G schaal forum!! (translation for the illiterated: "Welcome to the G scale forum" I do not use automated devices, so I cannot be helpful on this issue, but I'm sure others will. I use the Aristo Train Engineer and I'm very happy with that stuff.
Ruud Digitraxx made just such a device at one time. We have installed it on the club layout at the local museum. This works just as you suggested during the "unattended" for the tourists summer months. Now evidently they have stopped production of this item (no demand) but there is sure to be something else on the market. Cheers Dave
