Hello everyone. I'm in the process of making a bedroom interior for my DPM townhouse. Would anyone be interested in seeing how I do it? This is in HO scale. Candy
Photos!!!!!!! Always great to see what folks are doing...
I think this would be hard to do in N but let me show you what I did in HO and maybe we can figure something out. I'll take pictures tomorrow morning before I go to work and post them in the evening. I hope you all will try this because it makes your buildings look so interesting when the room is lit up.
I love putting interiors in simple structures like DPM kits. It adds so much when visitors can look into the windows and see something. This is the interior of my City Classics "West End Market" kit, which I re-badged as an A&P. Other than the figures, everything inside was printed on my computer. I use cardstock, a heavy-grade paper. I downloaded images of grocery-store shelves and used them to line the back walls and to build the shelves. The light is above the window level, so it doesn't show once the roof is in place.
Candy's pictures Here are my pictures of my interior room. It's a girl's bedroom 15 feet by 11 scale feet...if I calculated correctly. This is the smallest room I ever did! When I was little I made stuff for my doll house but the rooms were much bigger and I was much smaller. I had N scale hands back then. Anyway this is a second floor room. The top floor I made dark so the light could come from the top and illuminate my room. I'm happy with it! I took a picture with the room lit up but it doesn't do justice. Anyway I will post that one as well. I was thinking about doing the living room too but I'm not sure if I can light it properly. So do you like it? Candy
Those look great TomKat! I Googled using Dollhouse Wallpaper as the search terms and found a lot more interior items that could be printed and used or imported into a graphics program and altered to better fit.
