Here is a question to you all. I know of a RR down here in my neck of the woods that will be doing improvements to their rail and in the process will be removing some rail and switches. Does anyone out there know how one would go about pruchasing some of the removed equipment? In this rail improvement process they will be removing 5 switchstands that I am VERY interested in. Would the RR be willing to sell these or are they usually under contract to sell them to the bidder? I guess what I am asking is am I better off going to the RR directly or waiting until the line is removed and talking to the company doing the work directly? Ryan
